S1-200 Frameless Channel Range

Our frameless glass channel balustrade systems

Our frameless glass channel balustrade systems are suitable for both internal and external uses as well as for domestic and/or commercial purposes. The system consists of an aluminium channel or spigots allowing customers to choose between either a base mounted or side mounted application with an improved clamping method to ensure installation times are kept to a minimum and to guarantee your glass is fully stable. Can be completed with a handrail if required in timber or stainless finishes.

FAQ's

Why opt for frameless balustrades?

Lucky enough to have beautiful views from your balcony? Need to form a barrier for safety reason but worried about blocking the light or feeling penned in? Then our S1-200 frameless channel range is for you.

Offering the same high level of protection and safety offered from all our balustrade systems, the frameless glass range does so with the advantage of being extremely discreet. With no visible frame, they offer a ‘barley there’ appearance allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted views and maximising light and space, without compromising on safety.

How safe are frameless glass balustrades?

With no visible surround or obvious fixtures, people often worry about the safety of frameless glass balustrades – but there’s no need!

All balustrades must meet strict regulations (this includes things such as the minimum height of the balustrades and the type of glass used) and frameless options are no different.

In fact, in many ways they can be considered to be even safer than alternative options as they provide a full barrier with no gaps for pets or young children to climb through and risk injuring themselves.

Don’t forget, frameless glass balustrades can also be fitted with a handrail to further boost safety.

Still unsure? Talk to the team who are always on hand and happy to help. We’ll talk through your project and advise on the best way to ensure safety is maximised.

Are glass balustrades difficult to maintain?

There’s no point in us denying that glass won’t show finger marks, but to keep your balustrades looking as good as new, all that is needed is a quick wipe over with a damp cloth or glass cleaner. Compare that to the maintenance demanded from more traditional balustrade materials – such a wood, where routine sanding and painting is required – and it’s clear you’re onto a winner with glass.

Frameless balustrade options such as the S1-200 range, also have the advantage of no awkward nooks and crannies to keep clean. Just a simple pane of glass to wipe down every now and again – easy!
